Description

With this box you receive TV in high definition via satellite in DVB-S2/MPEG-4 standard. Enjoy an as of yet unknown image quality, which provides you with razor sharp details. At present there are various unencrypted HDTV broadcasts (German-speaking) like e.g. Das Erste HD, ZDF HD, Arte HD, Servus TV. Naturally you also receive with this box all “normal” non-high definition programs via DVB-S (unencrypted).

Dresden distinguishes itself through its remarkable equipment: with the help of “PVR-Ready” you can record your favorite TV programs on an external record carrier via USB 2.0 (*1) and enjoy the playback at anytime.
Through the CI interface you have the possibility to access encoded Pay-TV programs (*), if you possess the corresponded CA module and authorization (SmartCard).

HD + reception via CI module (not included in scope of delivery) can be upgraded. See also http://www.hd-plus-modul.de/.

Thanks to real low power consumptions, the device already turns out to become an energy saver!

Notice:

HDTV in a decoded DVB-S2 standard is currently not supported by all broadcasting stations. However, there are already unencrypted HDTV programs which get broadcasted via satellite (e.g. Das Erste HD, ZDF HD, Arte HD, etc.).
Encrypted HD+ Format is only receivable by using appropriate CI-Module with SmartCard for HD+ Reception (not included in delivery)!

(*):
Many encoded programs or Pay-TV programs can get decoded through the Common Interface with the correspondent CA (Conditional Access) module and SmartCard. The CA module and SmartCard charge a fee and are not included in the scope of delivery of this device!

(*1):
the device is suitable for recording TV programs on external record carriers, such as USB hard drives. The external record carrier is not included in the scope of delivery!
