Company Milestones

 

In 1979 our CEO Mr Rolf Schmid founded Schmid Electronics GmbH (SEG®), which got renamed to Schmid Trading GmbH. A small team of employees began with importing small appliances from the field of consumer electronics from Asia to Germany. The company underlines the idea of offering high quality products with a unique price-performance ratio.

 

In 1996 a cooperation treaty with a big manufacturer was signed. As a result, the VESEG GmbH is founded,which exports products of the brand SEG® to the foreign countries of Europe. This corporation evolves to be one of the leading suppliers of products in consumer electronics. In the following years the market share with all product lines grows significantly. In the TV sector the company assumes the market leadership overall.

 

At the end of 2007 the cooperation treaty gets cancelled and the company continues their business in the field of consumer electronics and white goods with the help of a highly qualified team. The brand SEG® is from now on much more flexible and well prepared for the future. With a selection of future-oriented products, like LCD-TVs, Audio Systems, Digital Video Receivers and lifestyle products, the company can fulfill customer needs and with the help of own ideas can generate business potentials for partners. High class household appliance got included in the product portfolio.

 

In 2008 Schmid Trading was renamed back to Schmid Electronics GmbH.
